People forget the simple math of making sure calories burnt > calories consumed . Or, if they remember, they overcomplicate it. It's not just about the hour in the gym. MOVE ALL DAY !!
What about building a base of muscle through bulking? Getting lean I 100% agree is better for hormones and those key factors you mentioned, but what would you recommend for someone without much muscle foundation? I’ve started bulking, getting stronger, keeping clean diet 80-90% and doing cardio. Yet the fat is coming on (as expected) and now as always I want to double back and get lean again haha
Would love to see a simple workout/core diet recommendation for busy professionals who want to “automate” a fat burning routine. I’ve been doing HIIT with boxing and tennis and focusing on chicken, yogurt, carrots, and peanuts.

Agreed. Additionally, quality and types of calories from food source. Avoid those empty liquid calories.

You don't need to be in that large of a surplus to build muscle
My year looks like 3/4 of the year in slight surplus
Then 1/4 of the year dialling a shred.

At what bf % would you consider the threshold for lean
15-20% is decently lean. 10-15% would by most be considered the athletic zone.
Great article. Thanks.
