The capability of violence is an essential piece of being a Lethal Gentleman.

You carry a different aura when you look violently explosive.

The most impressive example of this of all time is Mike Tyson. It’s no coincidence that the title of ‘baddest man on the planet’ is always given to heavyweight boxing champions.

Why? Because everyone can appreciate the impressive production of violent power.

Run clubs, marathons & endurance events have a very low barrier to entry. Just about anyone can complete endurance events with enough training. It’s why it’s hit mass market.

The rarest breed of man is capable of the highest expressions of athleticism.

And in this piece, you are going to learn how to develop violent explosive power.

THE EXPLOSIVE POWER TRIO

In order to develop violent explosive power, there are 3 key aspects that are not only essential, but often untrained in the average man. They are:

  • Rotational Skill: The ability to rotate with precision is something never trained in commercial gyms. You rarely see anyone step away from powerlifting & bodybuilding style training to build a core that can rotate.

  • Reactive Strength: Just as we can use jump training to develop an explosive lower body, we can develop these same qualities in the palms, tendons & connective tissue of your upper body.

  • Combat Readiness: Violent explosive expression would not be complete with direct application to being lethal. Striking is a the purest form of explosive power & we are going to delve into the specifics of how this rewires your body shortly…

HOW TO DEVELOP THIS TRIO

ROTATIONAL SKILL DEVELOPMENT

If you are someone who has never played sports to a high degree, I am going to give you an insight into a bunch of entry points to develop explosive rotation. Like anything, too much too soon can increase your risk of injury, so we want to develop the foundations before utilising intensification methods.

EXTENSIVE THROWS

EXECUTION: 3-5 sets, 20-30 reps

Not only is this one of the best entry points at a low intensity, but it will begin to work the core & obliques in a way that you have likely never trained. Medicine balls are an excellent entry level tool to begin to connect your feet, hips & pelvis with the upper body. This integration when combined utilises the ‘oblique sling’.

KEVLAR CORE DEVELOPMENT

We can not only utilise med ball throws to build the foundation, but we can also build the musculature around the core to assist our rotational outputs. The more muscle we build around our core, not only do we develop the aesthetics of our physique, but we can use that muscle to produce explosive power, below is an example of loading the oblique sling:
